A Purgatory of Nuns—meant to be read as a collective noun—is an assortment of original mixed media collages created by Marfa artist, Julie Speed. What began as a simple act of fun and revenge soon morphed into an extensive post-life rehab. The result is a beautiful series of nuns (and a few priests) who’ve been reassigned protections instead of beatings by Julie’s knife and wit.
