We don't say this about just anybody: Cassie Courtney is a radiant being. As founder and formulator behind botanical apothecary High Sun Low Moon, Cassie blends a deep knowledge of ancestral practice and plant medicine with a luminous philosophy of living to create her collection of incense blends, herbal smokes, facial oils, masks and other forms of care. We sat down with Cassie to bask in her glow for a moment and asked her a few of our favorite questions.

Dream car: I’d love a little light blue 90s Tacoma in good condition (rare). I live in the country now on 10 acres so a sweet little humble truck I can ride on the back roads would be pretty dreamy. But - in addition to my reliable great gas mileage Subaru granola mom car lol. Gotta have both.
Favorite bumper sticker: The Goddess Is Alive And Magic Is Afoot
Best vacation read: Always love a Ram Dass book to accompany me anywhere I go. He is such a lovely teacher when it comes to being present and seeing God in everything.
Next trip or dream trip (your choice): Well I’d love to go to Ireland to visit my ancestral lands and see all the beautiful Celtic ruins. Japan for the food and ancient history weaved into their culture - they do it best.
Road snack: Power balls. Made with dates, oats, chia seeds, nut butter of choice, goji berries, sea salt, cinnamon, vanilla, hemp seeds, flax seeds, and if ya feeling fancy some dark chocolate chips.
Driver’s seat or shotgun: Shotgun - like to be along for the ride.
Favorite travel memory: Backpacking through South America for three months when I was 21. I started in Peru, then Bolivia, then the top of Chile, and then rode the coast line up to the top of Peru up to Ecuador and then finished out my trip in Colombia. It was a life changing trip. I have always felt called to that land and have found myself going back to South America ever since. I hope to one day live in Brazil for part of the year and split my time between Texas and the Amazon.
Road trip soundtrack: This really depends on the time of year and where I’m going. But Lucinda Williams is a mainstay.
Far West favorites: EL COSMICO BIG SKY ROBE the color palette is too good.
